How we check facts & prices

Blueberry Bushes is an independent guide to growing blueberries in the United States. We are not a nursery and we do not sell plants — we profile varieties, curate combinations, and point you to the nurseries that stock them.

Variety facts

Zones, chill hours, size, season and care guidance are drawn from university extension publications (Ohio State, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and others) and the nurseries that sell each variety. Where sources disagree — and on chill hours, they often do, by 100–200 hours for the same cultivar — we show a range and say so on the variety's page. Flavor descriptions are the nurseries' and breeders' own words, summarized — we do not invent tasting scores for fruit we present as data.

Prices

Exact prices appear only where we checked a retailer's live listing, with the retailer and check date named (for example, Stark Bro's young-plant prices checked October 23, 2026). Everything else is a stated typical range by plant size, because a blueberry's price is mostly its age: roughly $15–29 for young plants, $35–50 for 1-gallon pots, $60–80 for 3-gallon pots across the major U.S. nurseries we track.

Money

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes a variety's facts, a ranking's order, or a price we publish.
